    About couple names

A couple name, or ship name, joins two first names into one word, the way fans turned Brad and Angelina into Brangelina. The best blends keep the sound of both names: the start of one runs into the end of the other, often on a letter they share.

The tool tries every split of both names in both orders, drops blends that are hard to say, and puts the smoothest ones first. Long names give more options than short ones, but any two names of two letters or more give at least a few.

    How to choose couple names

Say the blend out loud: if it sounds like a real word or name, it will stick.

Try both orders and nicknames: Liz and Max can work better than Elizabeth and Maximilian.

Use Pick best to see the three blends that read most easily, then save the ones you like with the heart.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is a ship name?

A ship name, from relationship, is one name made from two partners' names. Fans use them for celebrity and fictional couples, and couples use them for weddings, shared accounts and hashtags.

How are the couple names made?

The start of one name is joined to the end of the other at every possible point, in both orders. Where the two parts share a letter, it is used once, which is how Brad and Angelina become Brangelina.

Can I use a couple name for a wedding hashtag?

Yes. Short blends of six to ten letters work best as hashtags. Turn on Add numbers in Filters for a year, for example Emliam2026.

Are these couple names free to use?

Yes. Use them anywhere, without credit or sign-up.

Can I add numbers or change how the names are written?

Yes. In Filters, Add numbers puts 1 to 4 random digits or a year at the end, at the start or on both ends. Letters switches to lowercase or UPPERCASE, and Starts with and Length narrow the list. Copy and save keep the changed version.
