How to use the random number wheel
Choose a range, 1 to 10 or 1 to 100, or pick Custom and type the first and last number. Press Spin and read the number under the pointer.
For a draw where no number may come up twice, such as a raffle or a running order, tick Remove the winner after each spin. Each drawn number leaves the wheel and appears in Results.
A custom range can hold up to 500 numbers and can start below zero.
Frequently asked questions
Is every number equally likely?
Yes. Every number gets a slice of the same size, and the winner is drawn with your browser's cryptographic random number generator.
How do I spin a wheel from 1 to 100?
Set Range to 1 to 100 and press Spin. With 100 slices the labels are small, so Full screen makes them easier to read.
Can I stop numbers from repeating?
Yes. Tick Remove the winner after each spin and every drawn number leaves the wheel.
Can I use my own range?
Choose Custom in Range and type the lowest and highest number, for example 50 to 75. Up to 500 numbers fit on the wheel.
How do I spin a number from 1 to 10?
Keep Range on 1 to 10 and press Spin. The number under the pointer is the result.
How do I spin 1 to 25 without repeats?
Choose Custom in Range, type 1 and 25, and tick Remove the winner after each spin. Each number leaves the wheel after it comes up.
Can I use a range like 1 to 50?
Yes. Choose Custom, type the lowest and highest number, and press Spin. Up to 500 numbers fit on the wheel.
Can I start the range at 0 or below?
Yes. A custom range can start below zero, for example from -5 to 5.
What is the difference between the number wheel and the random number generator?
The wheel draws one number at a time with a spin, which suits a game or a raffle. The generator returns many numbers at once and can copy them.
Can I use the wheel for a raffle?
Yes, for a friendly one: give each person a number, spin, and remove the winner to draw the next prize. For a regulated lottery follow the rules that apply to it.
Is the spin affected by how hard I press?
No. The winner is drawn first with the browser's random generator, then the wheel turns to land on it.
