How to use the what to eat wheel
Press Spin when nobody can decide on dinner. Set Where to Cook at home or Order in or eat out to keep only ideas that fit tonight.
Open Edit the entries to delete dishes you never eat and add your own, such as a favourite restaurant. Copy link saves your version, so the whole household can spin the same wheel next time.
Frequently asked questions
What dishes are on the wheel?
About 30 everyday meals, from pizza and tacos to soup and leftovers, each marked as something to cook at home, order in, or both.
Can I add my own restaurants?
Yes. Open Edit the entries and type them on new lines. Press Copy link to keep the list.
Can I spin again if I do not like the answer?
Of course, or tick Remove the winner after each spin so a rejected dish does not come back.
Can I make a favourite come up more often?
Add *2 after it in the entries, for example Pizza *2.
Can I use it to decide on lunch or dinner?
Yes. The dishes work for any meal. Delete the ones that do not suit breakfast, lunch or dinner in Edit the entries.
Can it find restaurants near me?
No. It does not use your location. Type the places you like into Edit the entries and spin among them.
Can I make a fast food wheel?
Yes. Replace the entries with the chains you would eat at, one per line, and press Copy link to keep the list.
How do I keep it to meals I can cook at home?
Set Where to Cook at home. Choose Order in or eat out for takeout and restaurant ideas.
How do I settle it when two people disagree?
Spin once and agree to accept the result. If someone vetoes it, tick Remove the winner after each spin so that dish does not come back.
Can I take out foods I cannot eat?
Yes. Delete any line in Edit the entries, for example meat dishes for a vegetarian table.
Can the whole household use the same wheel?
Press Copy link and share it. The list is stored in the link, not on a server.
