How to use the dice roller
Type what to roll in dice notation and press Roll, or tap one of the quick buttons. 3d6+2 means three six-sided dice plus 2; d20 is one twenty-sided die.
Add kh or kl to keep only the highest or lowest dice: 4d6kh3 is the classic way to roll a D&D ability score, 2d20kh1 is advantage and 2d20kl1 is disadvantage. The breakdown shows every die, with dropped ones marked ✗. History keeps your last 30 rolls.

What dice can I roll?
Any die with 2 to 1,000 sides, up to 100 dice per roll. You can mix them, for example 1d8+1d6+3.
How do I roll with advantage?
Type 2d20kh1 or tap the button: two d20s are rolled and the higher one counts. 2d20kl1 rolls with disadvantage.
How do I roll stats for a D&D character?
Roll 4d6kh3 six times: four six-sided dice, keeping the highest three, once for each ability.
Are the rolls random?
Yes. Every die is rolled with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, with an equal chance for each face.
How do I roll a d20?

How do I roll 2d6 for a board game?
Type 2d6. That rolls two six-sided dice and adds them, with each die shown in the breakdown.
Can I add a bonus to the roll?
Yes. Add a number to the notation, for example d20+5 or 3d6+2, and the total includes it.
What do kh and kl mean?
kh keeps the highest dice and kl keeps the lowest. 4d6kh3 rolls four dice and keeps the best three; dropped dice are marked with a cross.
Why does 4d6 drop lowest give higher stats than 3d6?
Dropping the lowest of four dice raises the average from 10.5 to about 12.2. That is why many tables use it for ability scores.
How do I roll a percentile die?
Type d100. Any die from 2 to 1,000 sides works, so d100 gives a number from 1 to 100.
